yeah.... no black friday today.... why? cuz ppl are frickin CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! i mean... i thought i was crazy the last couple of years and then last week lining up for the nintendo Wii... but noooooooooooooooooooooo...
these yahoo's don't even eat thanksgiving dinner!!!! all thanksgiving is to them is a reason to camp out at stores to save a few measily bux.... sadly... i've realized that ever since i got a job, that saving that 50 or 100 bux by standing out in 30 degree weather and elbowing 300 other people and standing in line for 3 hours at the cashier register... just isn't as appealing anymore... i mean it was cool at first... but no more...
i wanted a 32" LCD HDTV... well... actually somehow during the day i switched and wanted a 42" Plasma... hahaha... but here's how the day went:
10:30pm - Best Buy, Gilroy: about... hrmm... maybe 100 peeps out there... yeah, so no go... the tv i wanted were only stocked to about 20 at the store... so no chance there.... plus there was a really nice $250 laptop that i kinda wanted but there were maybe only 20 there too...
10:45pm - Coach Factory Outlet, Gilroy: about 200 FOB's all lined up outside the store... this was freaking amazing... i can't believe that there were that many ppl lined up to go to coach!!!! wow.... just... wow....
10:55pm - Banan Republic Factory Outlet, Gilroy: 75 peeps there all lined up... i just had one word to say... SUCKERS... hahahhaa... i already got all my banana stuff at cheaper prices than they will ever get it at.... and i got all the sizes i wanted too.... POW for me....
11:30pm - Best Buy, Mountain View: 200 peeps... this was expected... further into the city... more tech savvy peeps lined up for something at a nerd store...
11:45pm - Best Buy, Palo Alto: 200 peeps.... yeah, same dealio... no surprise there....
12:15pm - Micro Center, Santa Clara: someone was taking a list... and when we got to the back of the line, we were 234... although this was the best shot of me getting my hdtv cuz a friend of mine who works there said they had maybe 160 32" hdtv's in stock... but to wait in line? nah... forget it....
12:30pm - Fry's, San Jose: 300 LOSERS.... i didn't even bother getting out of my car... i just wanted to drive by and see how bad it was... and it was BAD.. omg it was bad... wanna know HOW bad it was? it was only 12:30 and it wrapped around the corner of the store... and wanna know how even MORE bad it was? the Fry's ad hasn't even been released yet... it doesn't come out till 3am ONLINE... that means these people are lining out there without even knowing what they want... they are just.... THERE..... W.... T.... F.... yeah, not even i would do that...
so in the end... nothing for black friday (other than my banana clothes which i'm sooooo happy about..... i got a new coat... of course... it's my annual tradition.... i'm a coat whore... shut up....)
instead... for this evening since i already took a nap in the afternoon (thank you turkey)... i shall be watching a couple movies / episodes of LOST off the brand new 50" Plasma that i bought my parents... earlier this morning we hung it up on the wall above the fireplace and OMFG it's fucking awesome....
we watched the Manny Pacquiao fight that someone gave us on DVD.... he's the filipino boxer who defeated Erik Morales twice in a row... the fight was freaking amazing.... go PINOYS.... hahaha... (yes, i'm exercising my filipino card right now...)
i figured... there will be more hdtv's on sale between now and new years... and at the most... it will be 50 to 100 more than black friday (tho historically the price sometimes falls back down to black friday prices and u don't have to line up)... so instead, i shall be chilling on my couch in my warm house... cup of hot cocoa.... and a 50 inch plasma to keep me busy.... not to mention my Nintendo Wii and my new DS games that i still have....
