y'know... that brief moment when ur trying to get into the swing of things before working... either ur ritual cup of coffee... read a comic or two.... or slit the throat of a goat... y'know... rituals!!! do any of you have them?
these past couple of days i've noticed a definite trend in when i walk into my cube... here's the "usual" order i've noticed with the thoughts entering my mind in ( )...
- Enter Cubicle... (what was i doing at work again???)
- Check my toys... (good, none of them have been stolen... today is going to be a good day...)
- Hang up my coat on my coat hanger... (really, id on't know if ur supposed to hang anything off that but i do anyways... why? cuz it works...)
- Log into my machine... (my computer still spells my name Adrain and i haven't done anything to change it... i think it's kinda cook that my name is misspelled... makes me chuckle every day when i get to work...)
- Read the latest Dilbert Comic... (i love my dilbert calendar... i should add that to my wishlist... if i find it in a white elephant it's soooooooooooooo mine...)
- Check work email... (hrm... more design changes... aiyo...)
- Gmail... (hrmm.... who's online? who's sending me email? what are ppl saying in their gtalk messages?)
- Slickdeals.net... (gotta spend this money fast before it rots... hahaha... not really... but if i see something that's too good to pass up... i'll pull the trigger fast...)
- Blog... (anyone commented? haha... yeah right... i won't hold my breathe... i wonder what everyone else blogged about... better start making tabs on my firefox... POW POW POW...)
- Hungry... (i stopped eating breakfast for 30 more minutes of sleep... it seems like a good idea at the time when i'm in bed.. but a part of me regrets it at 9:30 when i'm hungry already... when's lunch?)
- Google News... (nothing? the world is boring today... try to find something Nintendo / Playstation / DS related)
- IGN.com or 1up.com... (any new video games i want to buy but absolutely have no need for?)
- work... (yay...)

how much time do you kill with that?
cmojgymq
depends... i don't buy somethign every day.. so i glance at it and if there's nothing it takes 5 seconds... my hunger is just a thought splice... news doesn't change every day (at least video game news unless it's a hectic video game release month) and reading a dilbert comic can take 10 seconds...
i would say it takes me 15 mins to get settled into work and start swinging away...
