why did i turn it on?
i just found out the PSP can be HACKED once again!!! i've been running off a very OLD firmware (actually the first firmware that the PSP shipped with) and basically that firmware allowed games to be hacked freely, sadly Sony figured this out and issued mandatory upgrades on all games so the only games I could play were the shitty first 50 or so titles for the PSP.
Fast forward a year and i find out PSP now has a PSOne emulator allowing you to play old playstation one games on the psp. what made the deal sour tho was that you could only download the games from your PS3 (sneaky sneaky sony, u guys hella suck ass... that's like saying here's a free burger when u buy a car... wtf!!!!)
and some very very smart nerds (proud to be a nerd!) was able to make their own CUSTOM firmwares that basically do the same thing that sony's firmwares do (all the features including the PSOne emulator) AND does not put the security hooks in there so u can play ANY game freely.
When i heard this, i rushed home last night, did some research, fiddled around with my psp and voila!!
On my PSP right now i have the following Playstation One games:
Final Fantasy Tactics - quite possibly my favorite game in the whole world
Chrono Trigger - if not tactics as my favortie game, this one might be
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - if this isn't my favorite game, it's at least the best castlevania EVER
that's right, you can play any hacked PSP game or you can also rip your own Playstation One games and put them on your psp and play them on the go!!!!! not many of u share the same excitement as me but I've ALWAYS wanted tactics on the go.... and finally it has come. i think i shed a tear of joy last night as i was falling asleep.
and no, i'm not doing anything illegal. i OWN these PSOne games, and making backups of something u paid for is perfectly legal, so if ur Sony and ur reading this, u can come over to my house and kiss my two ass cheeks cuz i don't care, u got nothing!
i love my psp... but i still love nintendo waaaaaay more... and i guess since i got an xbox... i'll show microsoft some love too... it's the kind of love that u have when u sorta liked Darth Vadar in star wars... respect the power
for anyone who is now INTERESTED in getting a PSP with a 1GB stick and i shall personally mod myself for you, my cousin is now selling his PSP since he doesn't really use it for $150.
