quite possibly the coolest dream ever

okay... maybe this had something to do with watching the new Karate Kid movie last night (which by the way was pretty good... different enough from the original, but overall the same exact storyline which i like that they kept true... jackie chan plays a good mr. miyagi)

anyhow, back to my dream last night. a little history about my dreams. i never dream about anything super-natural. well, as a kid i used to dream that i was being chased by a mummy, or being abducted by aliens. everyone else always had dreams that they could fly or teleport or something insanely awesome. others even claim that they realize that they are dreaming and decide to do crazy things in their dreams when they are flying. i apparently do not have imaginative dreams such as that, and i always felt left out.

so that is why my dream last night was awesome. i didn't realize i was in a dream, i just took it for reality and went along with it for as long as i could sleep. in my dream it was a cross between karate kid, harry potter, and sorcerer's apprentice. i dreamt that i was 12 years old and attending a school of martial arts and sorcery. we were, without lack of a better word, badasses, or rather i thought we were. the coolest, and absolute COOLEST thing that we could do, or at least i thought we could do were elemental plasma balls:

electricity, fire, water, ice, you name it, and that happened to be the lesson of the day. you could summon them from your extremities and either make it an extension of your hands or feet, or as a shield from other elementals. usual elementals that negated one another were present... water beats fire, fire beats ice, electricity beats water, you name it. from every single elemental negation from role playing games was possible in my dream.

during one training mission, we were split into 2 teams with a goal in mind, i believe it was reach a certain point first (first with 3 teammates to make it at the finish line wins). anyhow, i never finished the training mission but at one point in the match i was pincered in a cornered alleyway with two rivals on my flanks. each standing a fair distance away from me so that i could not perform any martial arts attacks and one could cover the other if i tried to attack one of them. so a barrage of plasma balls were coming at me from all directions and i used my own elementals to block them and fire them back at the other person instead. this perhaps went on for a few rallies in my head until i of course emerged victorious (it is after all my dream)

once i dispatched those two and the finish line was in sight, i got ambushed by this girl from another steam and was standing right in front of me. after a bit of hand-to-hand combat i eventually got the drop and had my hand up to her face and about to plasma blast her face off, but i instead said BLAM!!!! you just died and she stood there frozen acknowledging that if i wanted to, i could have, then i ran off to finish the training mission

i then woke up and thought to myself. man, that WOULD be an awesome power.
