what's wrong with me?
well to be honest yesterday was a pretty long day... woke up at around 9:30 yesterday with the great feeling of knowing that it was a 3-day weekend and i didn't have to go to work that day... my morning ritual is usually to wake up and if lena isn't awake, grab the ipad and surf the web or read my books... as soon as i logged on i thought to myself, should i check fry's? i haven't checked fry's in like FOREVER only cuz there's really nothing i want to buy these days, but last week, the agitator in our washer broke and seeing as how this is the washer that came with the house (i know... BONUS!!!) it was fairly old and it was only a matter of time before it keeled over... so i checked fry's and lo-and-behold there's a washer/dryer on a one-day sale because it was presidents weekend and it was selling for the same price it sold for in black friday.... WIN!!!! i was so bummed out we missed out on it back in black friday but as the black friday tradition goes, whatever u don't get then, you can get for the same price around february and it was true this time again!!!! so i shook lena awake (much to her dismay) and asked for approval if she likes it or not... got dressed and ran over to fry's.... placed an order and luckily there were only two left in stock and now getting a new samsung front-loading washer/dryer next week... WOOHOO!!!! so that was just my morning... the rest of the day was spent home shopping again... went to ikea, TJ max home goods, safeway... and thought about going to target but we were just way too exhausted from the day so instead went home played MW3 and fell asleep at a oddly early time....
so that was my monday... i know i'm supposed to be talking about my tuesday seeing as how the post says tuesday but i felt it pertinent to why waking up today was so hard... so ella wakes me up at 6am in the morning and usually if she disturbs my sleep that usually means its time to peepee... so after 5 minutes of pushing her away and then her hopping back and licking my face i finally got the hint and rolled out of bed and walked her downstairs to go pee outside... i'm glad she pee's on command now and her and i lumbered our way back upstairs into bed except ella decided to switch into "play-mode" which i think is just way too damn early to be doing so... so i force her under the covers and manage to sleep for 45 more minutes until she couldn't take it anymore and woke me up again.... i needed to be up by 6:55am anyways so figured 10 minutes early isn't so bad...
woke up and started getting my workout clothes ready and realized my bag is downstairs so i grab my phone, ipad, and my clothes, and begin making my way downstiars... as i reach the top of the stairs my ipad slips out of my hand

........
two bounces and then flat onto the hardwood floor.... i held my breath.... stood there frozen.... "what just happened?" is what went running through my mind.... $800 present from my girlfriend just flew out of my hand and down a flight of stairs....
ran downstairs as fast as i could and prayed to god nothing bad happened.... i had a case on it... it might have absorbed most of the impact right?!?!
opened it up.... no cracks.... no scratches... turned it on... turns on fine... checked the wireless works... the 3G it works... the home button it works... then i played a video to see if the speakers work... and YES IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEW!!!!!
dodged.... a..... bullet....
note to self... hold on the 800 dollar item tighter and fuck the $14 jeans and $11 shirt
