Bedroom Makeover

for the first 8 months in our new home, lena and i have been trying our best to try and furnish the place. prioritizing rooms and doing our best to fill it with furniture and of course debating back and forth with what to put where.

when we first got the place the first thing we got was the bed of our dreams which for me is a Eastern King size bed with a high quality pillow-top and springs... but once we got a bed to sleep on, furnishing our bedroom became last on the priority list and sadly our awesome bed just sat on its springboxes on the floor with makeshift nightstands that we got from target for like 10 bux...

yeah, nothing to write home about but we just got fairly lazy in terms of furnishing the place since the living room, dining room, and sitting area took higher precedence... but with a nice refund lena and i decided it was time to start looking for bedroom furniture finally because we literally just kept throwing our clothes off to the side with no dresser or drawers to place our stuff...

so we scoured furniture stores for what we want... found a few suitors from Ashley Furniture but the qualities weren't up to par with what we wanted... other furniture stores yielded the same results and so finally we decided to give ikea a try (of course right?) perhaps 60% of our furniture right now is from ikea, but what can i say... i like their style, its very simple and clean and despite what others might say, their quality has gone up from before...

so we walked through ikea a few weeks ago and lo-and-behold we found the bed we wanted along with all the matching furniture and so we got the furniture and the most dreaded part about buying new furniture....

i think now that we have most of our furniture done i'm gonna go around the house and take before/after pictures of all the rooms

waking up every morning now brings a smile on our faces now
