CONGRATULATIONS TO PAUL QUI

man.... that was a GREAT season of Top Chef and i didn't know until the final 3 weeks that paul was filipino!!!! maaaaaaaaaaaan... straight up born in manila just like me!!!!! when i found that out he became my instant favorite... this year i wasn't sure who to like and paul never really stood out even tho he set a record for most wins this season with 8 of the elimination challenges won by him... that was the most... he practically won half of the season... his total winnings:

$125K for the whole thing
$60K in cash from the elimination challenges
A brand new Prius-V
A trip to costa rica
An honored guest to see Charlize Theron's new movie at the world premiere

with a winning resume like that, it's safe to say that it was a total domination by him and the funny thing is... watching top chef throughout i hardly knew he was kicking that much ass... i mean i knew he won here and there but when you total it all up its by far the most any chef-testant has ever won in Top Chef

everything he cooked this year was amazing and now lena and i have to try his restaurant in austin texas

i think why this season i wasn't really caught on because i found more ppl that i hated than liked this season but paul was very quiet... humble... did his best... and let his work speak for itself and it netted him the overall win and being Top Chef

GO PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: man, i just thought i'd share... this is something he said on the show and it was the one episode i missed but just adding to one more bit of similarity between him and i:

“I feel fortunate and blessed to even have this opportunity. My great-grandfather on my father’s side fled from China to the Philippines to start a new life for his family, and I’ve always felt like I had that responsibility, being that I’m his eldest grandson. So that is what I’m pursuing here, trying to win Top Chef.” JUST LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!! although that's pretty much all that we got in common right there... but i found it interesting enough to just share

looking at his food that he makes is making me REALLY hungry right now:
