World Series Champions

I still can't get over that the Giants are champions... what a great season it has been and I was able to fulfill my quota for watching a good chunk of the season from start to finish all the way through... not an easy feat considering baseball season including the postseason adds up to almost 200 games and my way of saying Thanks to the 2012 San Francisco Giants is through a montage video i created of their amazing post-season run along the way... i had a little help from piecing together videos from youtube (most people did the hard work... but seriously... why re-invent the wheel???) but i chose a song that i only recently remembered when thinking of a montage to commemorate a fantastic post-season run.

For those of you that recognize the song that I chose and where you remember hearing it from... my hats off to you....

I hope you like my video

I love this song.... I thought it was so appropriate that the name of the band that sang this is:  The Outfield - Winning it All

The 2012 Giants postseason run was definitely magical for me because I could not believe everything that was stacked against them this year.  Facing elimination 6 times in the postseason only to walk away and win all 6 of them and then sweeping a team the entire nation believed would destroy the Giants.  Definitely a series classic for the ages that I will always remember......

if you can't recall or don't remember where this song was famously played... if anyone was a Michael Jordan fan, try and remember back in 1996 when Michael Jordan famously won the first of his second three-peat on Father's Day.   also recall his father was tragically killed a few years earlier and this was a year when everyone doubted if Jordan could still win a championship after having left the game for a year.... it was quite poetic that he won it on Father's day and he showed it in his victory celebration crying at the halfcourt....
