Before I go into my rant, if you have not seen the movie yet and don't like to get spoiled, then i advise you to not read this post.
Secondly, this movie is a great movie. The premise of it and how it all plays out was really thoughtful and I like a great "time-travel" movie whenever one comes out.
Now here's my small rant that I have when it comes to this movie. I saw the movie for a second time the last 2 days just to have on in the background while I'm relaxing from my long workdays.
So as i was watching this movie, the beginning intro where Joseph Gordon Levitt's character, Joe, is talking about how thing's work between the future in and the past.
Time travel has not yet been invented. But twenty five years from now it will be. Once the technology exists, it will be relatively cheap and available to the public at large. And so. It will be instantly outlawed, used only in secret by the largest criminal organizations. And then only for a very specific purpose. It’s nearly impossible to dispose of a body in the future. I’m told. Tagging techniques, whatnot. So when these future criminal organizations in the future need someone gone, they use specialized assassins in our present, called loopers.
Now let's focus on the words in bold that I have above from the very beginning of the movie. "It's nearly impossible to dispose of a body in the future." I had to sit down and think about this for a second here. If it was REALLY that hard, then what did the mafia organizations in the future do to the body of Joe's future wife?

Was it really easy to just kill her, burn the house, and then kidnap bruce willis? why not just kill bruce as well if the mafia goons were already willing to kill his wife? how come that body was not disposed of? it seemed a bit TOO easy to just kill her, one bullet right into her chest and the mafia goons didn't think twice or seemed scared at all at that moment that they had just "killed someone" and yet feel it pertinent to be sending bodies back in time to be killed and disposed of and disappear forever. I understand it's most likely a great way to completely eliminate all evidence so the bodies are truly never to be found, and the targets that are sent back are much higher profile than some random guy's wife, but maybe a bit more explanation about that would have helped because from where it stood, it almost felt like the future was some kind of Minority Report world where no murders can ever take place. If you wanted someone taken out of the picture but not kill them since the pre-cogs would sniff you out, what you do is just send them back in time and have someone in the past kill them.
That was my first observation of this movie. My second observation is all about Trust and Efficiency with this so-called "mafia organizations" in the future. From my perspective these guys are the biggest idiots in the whole world.
Why do you ask?
Well lets paint out the scenario. I want person A eliminated. I am going to send person A through my elaborate and physically time-bending machine that takes a stroke of genius to invent and operate, and send that person back in time, but all i'm going to do is handcuff him, bag him, and put him on his knees.............

Do you know that James Bond gets out of stickier messes than that? And Bruce willis figured that out as well and spun around to get shot in the one spot where they have FULL BODY ARMOR with the silver/gold on their back. Great location Mafia Organization, let's only expose half of their vital organs and leave the other half completely protected with 2 or 3 inches of precious metal. And even MORE-so, why even send them back in time 100% alive? can you not send them back maybe...... 50% alive? 40% alive? stab the guy in the leg, severe a major artery, have the person be "bleeding" out when they are sent back in time? Why do you ask? Would you trust someone who you've never met to take care of your business? Wouldn't you want some kind of insurance policy? A future man running in the past could change everything (and in the movie it obviously did) but in other ways too. Win the lotteries and now THAT person is the crime-boss of the new future. Why would you EVER take that risk? I would guarantee that this person will die one way or another and make bleed him out. Or wrap a plastic bag over his head and he will be in the midst of suffocation as he's travelling through time. Where these people end up in the past are remote locations anyways and if they needed immediate medical attention they wouldn't get any before they completely bled out or died of asphyxiation. c'mon Mafia Organization.... THINK!!!! is that too hard to ask?
Apparently in 2074 where time travel has existed for the mafia organization to use as their personal "victim disappearance program" all of a sudden the entire world forgot the one law that should NEVER be forgotten ever in this world:
"Anything that can go wrong will go wrong"
~ Murphy's Law
