in-SPEC-tion

This movie is by far one of my most favorite movies of all time but having watched it recently i can never get over this one loophole.   So for those that have watched this movie and remember it clearly, you remember that the main plotline for trying to get Robert Fischer to try and generate his own idea of breaking up his father's company is beause Saito is the only other major competitor standing between Fischer Industries and "total global domination" in the energy market.

Now let's sit down and think about that for a moment.  These two are businessmen who are at eachother's throat's in the real world when it comes to the energy market.  So in the first level of the dream, Saito is in the cab that abducts Robert Fischer and starts the whole "meat" of the movie.  They meet several times in the lower levels as well of each dream.

If you are a good businessman wouldn't you know what ur competitor looks like?   also, wouldn't you question why a wealthy businessman is trying to steal your wallet inside a cab?  As for the levels below, it's somewhat explainable since they reveal to Fischer that he is dreaming so to him, Saito could just be a projection he used to populate that world; and in the third level he thinks they are populating his godfather's mind which could just lead to another projection.  But the biggest loophole is failing to recognize and question the existence of Saito in the first level.  Subjecting himself to common thievery to try and steal his wallet that contains no more than $500 and a wallet that costs more than the cash in there.

I still love this movie but every time i watch the car-jack scene when Saito pulls a gun on Fischer face-to-face is where i question the movie just a for a few seconds.  The rest of the movie is pretty flawless and downright genius to try and create.  Sometimes i just can't get over that one tiny tidbit.   I keep thinking to myself would there have been any better way to do it?  Maybe have Yusef in the first cab instead pulling the gun on Fischer, but how does Saito get struck by a stray bullet?  It would have to be a stray bullet on Leanardo DiCaprio's car after arriving to the gun-fight late; having been delayed by freight train in the dream.

hopefully this didn't shatter the glass for everyone but it definitely is something that i think about each and every time i watch this movie (which believe it or not is a very common thing for me being one of my favorite movies of all time)

i still think... it was one of the most amazing ways to end a movie ever.... such mad props to Christopher Nolan.... the way he ends movies, Inception, Dark Knight, Dark Knight Rises..... you are sitting in your seat with your jaw wide open going..... WOW
