Falling in love with a city

Just came back from Montreal and had an amazing time:




best moment was asking someone how to say "you are beautiful" in french and then repeating it back to her.... that's what this video reminded me of

i wonder how much it would take to drop everything and live there for a while

Underpacked?

Last night i packed up for my weekend trip to Canada and i was a bit hesitant to find out that after I had packed just my suitcase, it was surprisingly not as packed as I thought it was going to be.  Granted canada right now is 30 degrees and I packed warm clothes, I am a little paranoid that I didn't pack enough clothes?

I always go through my internal checklist:

• Number of days there = Number of underwear/socks + 1
• Shirts for the days
• Shirts for the nights
• 2 pairs of pants + the pants I will be wearing on the way there
• 1 nice jacket
• 1 Nice shirt
• Toiletries
• 1 Pair of nice shoes

I feel like i'm missing something because I just came back from tahoe and I felt like my luggage was overslowing with the same suitcase.  I am paranoid and thinking i'm missing one shirt, or missing one pair of clothes, but i can't figure out what it is!!!!

ugh....

maybe i should just credit to the fact that this time i folded up my clothes much more neatly leading to a more compact packing methodology.... but even with that it still feels incredibly light.   My tendancy has always been to overpack so perhaps this time i'm packed just right???  i guess there's only one way to find out...
