they play the same position... adam morrison looks to be promising in the summer league.. and negotiations between lamar and the lakers over his contract have pretty much broken down....
i dunno how i feel about this... last season and especially the playoffs lamar was a key figure.. and so was trevor ariza... ariza's out... and crazy ron-ron is in... but could they also lose lamar and put in the enigmatic Adam Morrison? one of the brightest stars from college basketball
only to come crashing down by my alma mater school... and hands down THE best March Madness game... EVER!!!! if you don't remember... here's something to help jog ur memory:
UCLA was down 17 points at the first half and never had the lead throughout the ENTIRE game... i almost gave up and was about to go out angry... but then my cousin called me and told me they were slowly chipping away... i sat there, glued to the tv... and witnessed one of the greatest moments of all time in sports... it ranks right up there with the TO catch, MJ's final shot, D-Fish's 0.4 second shot, and the infamous catch from the NY Giants and Pats Superbowl...
*sighs* that video still brings chills down my back...
anyway... could morrison be going on the lakers roster to lighten the luxury tax on the the lakers salary? could this possibly be another rebuilding year? two KEY figures leaving may spell doom for a team trying to build a dynasty...
i dunno... i'm afraid... i felt like we needed either ariza or odom to come back.. both would be great... but phil jackson coaching artest AND morrison? getting used to the triangle? learning to take a back seat and ride the Kobe train??? i dunno.... it looks.... unsure
