anyhow, so last weekend has been one of the more eventful weekends as of late. as many of you know, the niners are out of the playoffs (yes, i'm still extremely sad) but all is not for not. the team looks great moving forward and so now that the football season is essentially over for me, now i can focus on other things to do with my weekend other than live/breathe/eat football.
so saturday, lena and i decided to tag along with mikey and selena for a daytrip to one of our favorite cities to go when we want to get away from it all: Monterey
Weather was a very cool 70 degrees throughout the day, no cloud in the sky, and not too crowded on fisherman's wharf...
we of course brought ella with us and found a few restaurants on the wharf that were pet friendly and got to eat outdoors next to the pier
ella of course couldn't eat at the table so she was at our feet... but that still didn't stop her from begging me and lena to pick her up and play with her... naturally we couldn't resist her sad puppy face:
it was pretty much as perfect of a day as you could make it out to be...
plus the free parking that i know ALWAYS helps haha... walked around cannery row, fisherman's wharf, and even went to an outlet store where lena found the same pair of shoes she saw 4 months ago but regretted not being able to buy it then... just our luck, they were still there!
we even found a beach where all these harbor seals were sunbathing... what a life:
had a small picnic at the usual park with all the rocks and the small beach
that's mikey right there on the left being all emo
even had time to practice some of ella's tricks... this is ella practicing HIGH FIVE (that DK taught her)
overall a very fun day out in the sun:
and ended the night sipping a warm cup of Sea Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate from Ghirardelli
and as always the tradition when driving through gilroy... SONIC BURGER!!!!!
