Selling Out

ever notice that when an actor or actress starts to become a rising star in the Hollywood ranks, either recognized for a great roll they played in, or one of their movies becomes a blockbuster hit, that the next project they do always seems to be a "sell-out" movie where they are the main character in a really shitty script, or really shitty plotline?

I like to think that the actor did it because along the way up they owed something to some small time producer/director and are returning the favor for their sudden rise to fame.  other possibilities are because the actor just has a huge ego and thinks "i can make any movie better"

Well.... here are my top sell-out movies that i've witnessed throughout my movie watching days:

Jessica Alba

(tho to be perfectly fair... none of Jessica's movies were ever any that good)

Vin Diesel


Ice Cube

(anyone remember when he made a movie based entirely about smoking weed out in the ghetto?  yeah the the HELL happened here???)
