i think i love 80's music a bit too much... the older i get and the more and more i listen to today's music the further and further back my love for music goes....
is it just me or is music back then have a sort of innocence and happiness to it that just can't be matched in today's world. i think the music genre reflects the state of the world or rather society and if you've been listening to music as long as i have and try and correlate the economic and social issues throughout time you can see how eerily alike they line up alongside one another... and it's not like i'm trying to hate on today's music.... i'm a fan of all genre's of music and every time period it's just when ur in the mood to just smile it's really hard to find one in today's music.... there's a time and place for everything and i guess this is where 80's sits with me....
anyhow, after church with time to kill before the Giants game i decided to clean the house (what else is new) while blasting 80's music off of Pandora and could not help but clean with a little skip in my step (weird? prolly yeah) but it just begs to be danced to and helps start a bright and happy day....
and while i was cleaning this song came on and couldn't help but smile even further
even if you hate the 80's or weren't even born during this time.... you gotta appreciate the music that came out of it... when i was in vegas walking up and down the strip (perhaps a bit under the influence) i walked by this bar blasting 80's music from across the street (yes... my ears are that akin to this kind of music) and just HAD to mosey on over and check it out.... ended up being a really fun experience.... i hope with all the weddings coming up that my friends decide to sprinkle a little bit of 80's music in there
