it's amazing how true this comic strip is. i find it funny but in a chilling way where it speaks the truth. taking a step back and reflecting about life, i'm always wondering if i have really done anything remotely important in this short lifetime.
i believe that this style of Calvin & Hobbes have deeper meanings and it's in these comic strips that really cement it as my favorite comic strip of all time. it's amazing how we take things for granted dwelling on the past or worrying about the future while letting the present just pass by. taking a step back and wondering about the importance of your short time here on earth you realize that there are many things that you could / should be doing, so why not do it?
it's funny how in the strip, once both realize the metaphor of the sidewalk cracks that they devote a large portion of their precious time thinking about what they've done so far in life. and it's also funnier that calvin is only 6 years old. i wish i was like that when i was 6.
carpe diem.
seize the day
and make the most of what you got
